Very inspired by her life, her work, sometimes sad, sometimes happy, tells of the upheavals of her existence.
Her heightened sensitivity allows us to discover paintings that resemble her, she cannot hide anything because she is one and whole. Her talent moves us because it is true.
Patricia Rioust ; poetess
Training and artistic approach:
In 1982, Pascale attended different art courses in order to teach and to organize art workshops for young people and then worked for various town halls, youth clubs and schools.
In 1990, Bernard Hugues, painter and poet, opened the doors of his studio for her and helped her in mastering her techniques of drawing. She then attended art courses at "L' Académie des Arts d'Avignon".
Since 2014, she has joined the artist Jean-Marc Scotti's ateliers, working on various techniques of drawing and painting.
She also taught herself, various techniques and approach to sculpture and jewel creation.
Regardless of the material she works on, she is above all, guided by emotion. She is curious and loves experimenting and fiddling with new material and ideas. However, Pascale has one passion : she is fascinated by paper : its smells, its textures, its past histories...
She works all sorts of paper and pages with inks, pastels, charcoals... She says she works as one writes, with pen or pencil looking for the right "sound", the right "word" The right "trace"
To be even closer to the material, she also makes her own recycled paper with all the scraps, old administrative papers, envelopes, kraft wraping papers that she gathers and keeps preciously. She also looks for rare paper, the one that has "lived" a lot, "travelled" a lot. This approach also wants to be ecological in order not to throw but to give a new life...
A good example of her work is her series of portraits "Regards de femme", in school ink on sheets of old notebooks and the artist's booklet "Words of a woman" are the result of three years of meetings, exchanges and listening. A work of testimony on violence against women, presented for the first time in July 2018 during an exhibition in Beaucaire.
